For retreats, a deposit (£50 for weekends, £100 for longer retreats) or the full amount must be paid at the time of booking. The full cost of the retreat must be paid at least two weeks before the start of a shorter retreat and four weeks before a longer retreat. Deposits for retreats are not refundable or transferable.
Solitary retreats, courses and all other events must be paid for in full at the time of booking.
The concessionary rate is for students on a full-time course, people aged 16-25 (not including sub25 retreats), people on a pension, people not working, people drawing state benefits and people employed in Triratna Buddhist Community TBRLs.
If you cancel a place on a weekend retreat more than two weeks before the start date or four weeks before a longer retreat then a refund of the amount paid minus the deposit will be returned. If a place is cancelled after this time then a refund will not be made.
Payments for courses and day events are not refundable or transferable unless the cancellation occurs more than one week before the start date in which case a refund of half the total amount will be made.
If a solitary retreat is cancelled more than two months before the start date, a full refund will be given minus a £10 administration fee. If cancelled more than one month before the start date, a 50% refund will be given. If cancelled less than one month before the start date, no refund will be given.
We endeavour to run all the events we advertise. However, in exceptional circumstances we may have to cancel an event. In this case we shall, of course, refund all of your payments in full.
Exceptional circumstances due to Coronavirus
If you’ve booked a retreat or an event but instead you need to stay at home to accord with government guidelines, please don’t attend either of our sites, but instead get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org and we will issue a full refund or transfer.
If you don’t need to stay at home, but out of your own concerns about the coronavirus you choose to cancel a booking for an event which is not already underway, we will be happy to transfer your booking to an equivalent event of your choice. To do this, email email@example.com.
In the scenario that we have to cancel any events following future government advice, we will be in touch with all those who have booked and provide full refunds.
