About Us

The most positive place in London! I feel instantly calmer as soon as I walk in. I'm so grateful this place exists! - Anna Leonard (Facebook review)

The London Buddhist Centre teaches meditation and Buddhism in a way that is relevant to modern London life. We are a public centre, open to all, with no expectation of Buddhist involvement. We also teach Mindfulness for health and well-being. The Centre opened in 1978 in what was a disused fire station. Since its opening, a thriving Buddhist community has grown up around the Centre, which today includes charity shops and residential communities. You can find our latest annual report on the Centre's work here. We are also part of a worldwide movement known as the Triratna Buddhist Community: find out more
