Come and join us for 5 days in the countryside, practicing yoga and meditation. Over the retreat we will be working to integrate our bodies and minds to create a positive and unified whole.
On this retreat we'll be using the practices of yoga and meditation to explore the Sattipatthana Sutta, which is the Buddha's teaching on the four foundations of mindfulness - the body, feelings, the mind and reality itself. There will be time dedicated to exploring the teachings in our direct experience, and time dedicated to simply being with one's self, each other and the world around us. By paying attention to present moment experience we can slow down, gain a broader perspective and make wiser and more loving decisions for ourselves and the world.
The retreat takes place in our beautiful, purpose built retreat centre in rural Suffolk and is suitable for complete beginners as well as those familiar with meditation and yoga. An example of a daily programme on the retreat is as follows:
07:00 Dynamic Yoga
01:30 Meditation workshop
02:30 Tea break
03:00 Restorative Yoga
08:00 Evening Yoga or Chanting and Ritual
Buddhist meditation teaching will be suitable for both newcomers and regulars, and the yoga will be a mixture of dynamic and restorative sessions, suitable for all levels.
