Going on Retreat
 |
events suitable for newcomers |
A retreat is an excellent opportunity to explore meditation, mindfulness and Buddhism in a beautiful environment
away from the stresses and strains of your everyday life. Going on retreat can bring a much needed sense of calm and clarity, as well as a renewed sense of purpose.
On retreat we provide skilled meditation tuition to help you go deeper in meditation and mindfulness. There will be talks on Buddhism, optional Buddhist rituals, and time to make friends and explore the local countryside.
WEEKEND RETREATS |
Introductory Weekend Retreats
Retreats are a great opportunity to take a break from your usual routine. You can deepen your meditation, cultivate mindfulness, and learn about Buddhism.
A retreat is also a good way to meet friends, relax and enjoy the lovely Suffolk countryside.
This weekend retreat is held in our purpose built retreat centre, Vajrasana, with its six acres of gardens, circular meditation room and spacious lounge. All food is vegetarian.
Introductory retreats are a chance to live communally for a weekend and be introduced to a Buddhist vision of reality. |
